To be honest, I have never understood how and why laptops still have not become more portable than they are. I mean, what most people need is not just get the laptop from point A to point B, but also actually USE it at both points. If you get a laptop for working at home too, one would expect that it should be easy to set it up so that the settings are adjusted for the new location when you get there , with as little effort as possible, in order to make you be more productive.
So far though, I have not seen anything like this in the pre-installed software packages of Mac and Windows. Yes, I know, Mac has the concept of different Network settings, but it affects only the network. What if I would like to
There are some additions that I would like to the software, and the makers seem to be open to suggestions (there is actually a special button for this in the interface) so with time the software sould become even better! I for one would like to see more interaction with power management features, as well as time machine. What would you like?

- use the work printer as the default printer at work, and the private printer as the default printer at home?
- mount shares on the HTPC automatically when at home, and the central server when at work
- disable wireless at work (in order to avoid those annoying connection messages)
- change the time zone settings
- use the work SMTP server when at work and the restricted SMTP that my ISP forces me to log on to in order to send mail (so that they will not get SPAM sent from the network by bot:ed PC)
